You know what scares me? The fact that our country, our government is still charging forth, like a raging bull, on its pilgrimage to rid us of Global Warming. The fear mongering, and hysteria that revolves around this “danger”, is mind numbing. It reminds me of the history story about the witch hunts. You remember that back in Salem in 1692 people were running around looking for witches. The sad thing to me is that back then they had more evidence for witches existing than we do of man made Global Warming. Global Warming: the 21st century’s witch hunt. That’s what it really boils down to, a witch hunt for something that there is no evidence that exists.

Yes, I said it, there is no evidence that man made Global Warming really exists. Perhaps the Globe is warming, that is still in debate, but the evidence is that man has nothing to do with it. In fact there are scientists who argue that a warmer Globe would be way better for the world. The BBC claims on The Great Global Warming Swindle (watch it here), that perhaps Global Warming has no evidence as being man made.

So, as more and more Scientists are coming against man made Global Warming, why is our government still so set on protecting us from this myth? I believe part of it is that we all want some sense of meaning in this life. If you reject the Creator God as existing and you are left with Evolution, your life is ultimately meaningless, and because God doesn’t give you meaning, you must create your own, even if it is a fiction. So, I propose that Global Warming is the new religion, we worship ourselves and this creation, and thus we must do everything in our power to “serve, protect, and love” it. We derive our meaning for existing as creating a better world and protecting it from Man. We say, “we may not be around in the future, but Mother Earth will”, and so we act to protect our “mother”. This is also true for Politics and our Governments, we see that the world is fallen, that men do evil, and we look to man and his organizations to save us from ourselves. In this we reject the true Savior Jesus the Christ.

We are like a thirsty man who digs shallow wells which hold no water while ignoring the clear, clean spring that flows near by. Do not be fooled, Global Warming is more a movement than it is Science. Do not be caught off guard when people spout rhetoric without evidence. Just because it sounds good, doesn’t mean it is true. Happy Thinking!
