Christmas, When to Celebrate

So as many of you might be aware, we are in the Christmas season currently. However, doesn’t it seem like its been going on for a while? As a kid i dont remember Christmas stuff starting until December 1st, but this year it sure seems that it’s been going on for a lot longer than 4 days. Whats up with that?
So I have a few questions:
1. When should we start decorating for Christmas.
2. When should the decorations come down.
3. When should Christmas music start being played.
4. Is Christmas about Christ any more or has corporate America won and made it into another “spend money, send cards, and shop” holiday?
5. Is it right that companies make their highest percentage of profits during this time?
6. Whats your favorite thing about Christmas?
