Never start an argument where your terms are not defined. Following that rule allow me to quickly clarify what I mean by the term evolution. Everything coming from nothing, all life evolving from non-life, the existence of only the material, and men being the direct relation to monkeys, are a few of the bordering concepts for my use of the concept of evolution. Certainly there is a type of evolution where by cultures develop, or organisms adapt to their environment, and I am not speaking of this type, but the type that stands in direct opposition to the historical Christian faith and view of the world. This type of evolution is so backwards, so illogical, so confused that it seems so right to so many people and they don’t even know why. Why would something so obviously false, so obviously mistaken have gained so much traction that even though historically it is very new, it is becoming the de facto basis on which much of human culture is being rebuilt.
Piles and piles of papers have been written on the subject and it isn’t in my purview to give a definitive case against evolution, but I will point out what I think are the clearest reasons it is false and why I think so many people believe it anyway.
Evolution (note what type of evolution I am speaking about here) claims that from nothing, everything came. This statement is as coherent as telling you that I have created a square circle for you to buy, and you wouldn’t buy my new product and nor should you buy this evolutionary claim (but if you still would like to buy my new product please write to me and I will give you the address where to send your check). Simply put if something cannot come from nothing (which it can’t) then either something has always had to always exist (materially speaking), another proven impossibility, or there has to be some transcendent being which always existed (the only option left). Arguments for this view of evolution always boil down to equivocation where the arguer claims that there always has been something, but that something was so small we call it “nothing”. I too could claim that “nothing” now means horses, and thus when I say the universe came from nothing, I really mean it came from a horse’s ___.
Another huge milestone in the argument bank for evolution is the claim that only material things exist and that nothing immaterial, and especially supernatural, exists. Unfortunately the easiest way to disprove this position in evolution is to take every evolutionist and perform brain surgery on them and show them, with their own brains, that we cannot find any physical evidence for their thoughts, feelings, nor beliefs. Inside their, obviously huge, brains I cannot find the physical thought they just had and pluck it out and show it to them while inspecting it myself. Rather all their thoughts and beliefs have to be told to me by them, proving they are actually not physical things at all. Now, shall we take a vote on whether or not we should put their brains back after surgery?
Just like my first point the idea that life came from non-life is absurd. No matter how many old Frankenstein movies you watch, there is simply no life coming from non-life. Unlike our forefathers, we now know that life is actually very complex and that cells are really little factories of great sophistication. Picture this in your non-physical mind, you are walking on the beach and come across a pile of sand, being a curious chap, you reach inside the pile to see what lies within. Your hand touches the cold, hard, smooth form of a brand new iPhone 10S (which isn’t even in development at the moment). The iPhone evolution has really taken a huge leap forward! Surely out of this sand pile, a midst the wind and water, has this iPhone 10S evolved, and look it has the best call quality you have ever heard! Is this a stretch, a mere impossibility? Reaching into a sand pile and pulling out a charged, activated, and functioning iPhone 10S, and claiming that it just evolved from the sand, is akin to claiming that life just spontaneously, and internally (without outside intervention from God) came from non-life, a true absurdity. Now, can I please have my cell phone back?
Washington D.C has been the standing proof that men have evolved from monkeys, or more specifically that some have failed to make the leap just yet. Although I would love to agree with the evolutionist’s claim that some lower animal is our forefather in the evolutionary chain, and so write off most politicians as monkeys wearing human suits, my rational mind will just not let me go there. Not a single bone has been provided as proof that any intermediate state between money and man has existed. Be my guest if you now want to believe that we luckily didn’t need any intermediate states but radically jumped one day from money to man, I like fairly tails too. On a completely separate note, I know of this floating, man made island in the Pacific that is all the rage. Send me your check and I will reserve you a water front spot on this island.
Whew, I’m glad that part of the article is over aren’t you? I didn’t realize that evolution would be so easy to disprove, what a waste were all those tons of articles written in the past, when they only had to wait for my definitive work! Clearly evolution is non-sense, but why then would so many people buy it hook line and sinker? Jesus actually tells us why, and remember since He is God, He has an advantage point by which He can accurately see these things. In John 8:44 Jesus says that unbelievers (those who do not believe He is God and Savior) are actually children of Satan,
“You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”.
Paul, one of Jesus’ top disciples, says that Satan has blinded the eyes of the unbeliever in 2 Cor. 4:4, “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Speaking about the religious leaders of His day (has not evolution become a religion in our day) Jesus said in Mat. 15:14, “Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.””. Paul again tells us that no one seeks God in his book to the Romans chapter 3 verse 10 and 11,
“as it is written:
‘None is righteous, no, not one;
no one understands;
no one seeks for God.’”.
Yet, for our purposes, on why people would rather believe evolution, which is clearly false, and believe in Christianity, which is clearly true, we must heed Paul’s words in the first chapter of his book to the Romans, I will quote starting at verse 18 going through verse 22, but you should really read the whole chapter,
“18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.”.
Almost two thousand years ago Paul clearly saw to the heart of the matter, and things haven’t changed much since then. It is clear that God exists, that He created the world, but people are spiritually in darkness, and sold out in their rebellion against God, so that they willingly believe lies, and any non-sense just so as they don’t have to believe in God and submit to Him, whom they hate. Spiritual warfare and rebellion is the only thing powerful enough and consistent enough to explain why materialists, and so call scientists stubbornly hold to views that are so clearly wrong that child after child points it out, and yet they simply ignore and suppress all evidence proving them wrong. Are you suppressing the truth in your unrighteousness or are you willing to believe the truth no matter the stakes?
